Stony Brook University Hospital Heart Center

This 60,000 square foot renovation included the Heart Center, Orthopedics Unit, M/S Inpatient Unit and the construction of a new mechanical penthouse. To allow the center to remain operational during construction, the project was scheduled in two phases.

Extensive coordination with the hospital was critical; some portions of the space were operational while other areas were under construction. To maximize the comfort and safety of patients and staff, ACC made extensive use of filtration units, partitions and special protection to keep any dust out of the vents and occupied spaces.
